The DCP Agency is a very well established, family run Dental agency with more than 37 years experience in the dental industry.

Here’s a bit of our background…
I started work as a full time dental nurse in 1980, working with my own dentist in Bury, Lancashire.
I also worked on the emergency dental service weekend rota from its very first session. I became one of the first qualified dental nurses in the area in 1987; at the time it wasn't compulsory to be qualified.
In that same year I moved jobs to work for the community dental service.
33 years ago in 1989 after having my first daughter Jenny, I gave up my full time job in community dentistry to be a full time mum.
I still worked the out of hours emergency dental service at weekends. Back then all local GDPs had to work on the EDS rota and therefore I began working with and got to know all of them quite well.
Over the following months and years lots of them would contact me to ask if I could help out at their practice to cover holidays or sickness. Often I would get calls from a number of practices asking for cover on the same day. Realising there was a niche in the market for Locum dental nurses In the North West UK, I had the idea to set up a business to cover this area.
I started off with just a handful of dental nurse friends to help supply the demand, some of them are still with me to this day.
As time went by and Demand grew, I enrolled on a business course for entrepreneurs and innovators and after the successful completion of the course
I set up the DCP Agency.
As well as Dental nurses we also supply Locum and Permanent
Dentists, Hygienists, Dental Therapists and receptionists.
Two of our daughters are now GDC registered dental professionals working with our company.
Jen is a Dental Therapist/Hygienist.
And
Lucy is a Dental Nurse
In more recent years my Husband, a state registered Paramedic with 35 years (12 of which as a senior paramedic responsible for the training and welfare of qualified and student paramedics) experience set up our sister company,
The first aid and Resuscitation Company.
Stephen provides Annual medical emergency in the dental practice training
(3 hours verifiable CPD) to many of our dental clients.
He also teaches accredited first aid in the workplace. (3 day course)
BLS/AED/CPR, trauma management, paediatric first aid and resuscitation
He also is a certified FFP3 Fit tester.
So as you can see we are a real “Family business”
